Finally got to work on the RAS (radial arm saw) station.

How mount a fence that's square to the blade. First mount a sacrificial plywood on the table. Right on the path of the blade's teeth.

Then make a cut. This new edge is of course parallel to the blade

Use that edge as a reference for mounting the fence

Test cut after securing the fence

Ha? What's that? I just grabbed the first blade I saw in my rack. :lolno:

But I think I know what you mean. The saw climb cuts. So it runs towards the operator.. Needs a bit of getting used to. And I plan to counteract this force by using a counterweight or a bungee cord or something.

I think its time to build a dust separator for my DC. Mahirap magkabit ng dust bag. And the fine dust is already clogging up the filter.

For relatively simple builds I find it easier to skip the Sketchup model and design directly with the CAM software.

Finally got tired of having to more things from the table saw to the workbench to the CNC to the RAS statio to the jointer whenever I had to use any of them.

So I took the first step in attempting to organize the shop: a French cleat tool wall.

1/2" marine plywood
Image

with 8 cleats made from 3/4" marine plywood
Image

Made a spacer jig to keep them parallel and evenly spaced
Image

It will go up this wall
