Polyurethane Varnishes

Since some finishing procedures are common between wood and metals, this forum is created for just that. Includes preparation, painting, finishing, etc.

I suggest we buy our paints in quarts instead of Gallons and keep them in cool place. Left over paints need to be put in smaller containers so it wont react to air trapped in the can which causes premature decay.
I think i was a woodworker in my previous life...and the life previous to that.

the trick really is to buy them in gallos bec it is cheaper that way. Once you open the finish, make sure you have enough containers to transfer them to. I use sardine bottles because it iss the right size for one use of my projects. That way when I need to use finish, I only open one smaller container. Once air invades the can, the varnish will start to deteriorate...
Deft water bourne poly is my top choice. Very easy to apply using brush or spray gun and either way clean up is way better than oil or lacquer based finishes.
Deft is available in Home Depot BGC, at least that is where I get my stock.

i still got the left overs in a gallon container and i am too lazy to transfer them..thats the reality...i hope to empty the container soon when December comes in and the weather will be nice to do woodworks. my shop is at least 37 degrees kasi walang windows!!

Hi bryant!
Dba Decopro ang distributor ng Deft paints? Same distributor ng Gorilla glue?

@ doc v and jojo

Yup! Decopro distributor. Pag ubos na stock sa home depot. Diretso na ko sa office/warehouse. Nakausap ko before yun sales nila and they are willing to conduct product demo/training.
