1031 and 10j pareho lang, mahirap gawaan ng insert, pero pwede. :D Dado insert nagawa ko.
Your cutting tools is only as good as your sharpening system.

What blade do you guys recommend for general use? Is there one that can do clean rip and cross cuts at the same time?

I was looking at the Freud combination blade but the arbor size is only5/8" and my 10J requires a 30mm arbor.

Freud 40 tooth is what the doctor orders for your needs.... clean on cross cuts and fast enough on rips.

I agree absolutely on the 40 tooth blade but choose the thin kerf variety and best suited for underpowered contractor saws like the one you have. Freud is on top of my list too. You can have the 5/8" bore enlarged to your specifications.
I think i was a woodworker in my previous life...and the life previous to that.

Regarding the arbor size, you have these options

1. Have the circular saw blade hole bored to 30mm.
2. Have the arbor flange machined to remove the raised center part so it's flat (motor shaft of the 10J is 5/8).
3. Have a machine shop fabricate a new arbor flange.

I went with option 3 since I already bought a Freud 80T (30mm arbor) and another cheap 40T plus the stock 24T Bosch blade. In option 2 you can still use your stock 24T blade, just use a saw blade 5/8 to 30mm bushing.

Any particular model brader? Or is there only one Freud 40T?

A link to that particular blade will be much appreciated.

Thanks!
