DIY Quadcopter/Drone

Unread post #1 by timber715 » Tue May 10, 2016 11:13 pm

Looking for insights, links and or plans as I would like to embark in making a quadcopter to assist me in my other hobby.... fishing! :wtf:
It must have a 1kilo payload capacity and a good range is ideal. As of now, I have no idea what I need :wtf: so any help would be appreciated.

I saw a video that used a DJI phantom to fish for tuna..or at least to drop the bait on top of them. The newest Phantom costs round 75k.

@Timbs,
I have the ff.

Transmitter 2.4ghz (Turnigy 9X, ball bearing gimbals, The peoples radio)
Receiver (FRSky)
Motors and esc( but I need to check pa)
Frame (I remember)
flight controller (i have a cheap brand)
I also have mini's(250mm) for racing some are brandnews,

I have small shops kasi for RC planes and copters for our group that I stopped na when I get in to nitro buggy racing then on this hobby :-)

I will consolidate it muna we can exchange sa tools sa mga excess mo dyan or a xdeal na lang :-)

For your build, mas ok if mag test ka muna sa small drones para maging familiar ka paglipad and ma enjoy mo muna then saka mo na lift ang payload mo hehe. for 1KG I think kaya ng quad yan mag adjust ka na lang ng blade size and pitch. and pinakamahal na parts dito is yung radio tx and rx and offcourse the flight controller. pwede ka kumuha ng DJI na FC(flight controller) para less headache and easy to setup. DJI is the makers of phantom, I have their first FC before nung wala pa silang phantom puro FC lang ginagawa nila.
