Yes sir, was able to remove quite a bit of weight from excess wires and stuffs. For this one I use a Turnigy 2200mah and a Zippy 2800mah.

I wanted to learn the effects of increasing the distance between the motors so from the original 250mm size I CNC'd new arms to make it 280mm size. The results were promising but overall, it wasn't what I was looking for. :(

So after that experiment, I returned the original arms and went back to 250-class but this time on a diet.

Sir V, believe it or not it was a wonder to me too a couple of years ago... having a small background in RC helped but these tri/quad/hexa/octo copters are a new breed of flying machines. The physics is quite different from the usual heli RC plus the tuning alone is something of a challenge already.

The learning curve is quite steep but thank goodness for Google and Youtube!

I'm using a quad of cheap MarsPower 1806 motors and MrRC 12A ESCs on the zmr250. I have a backup quad of DYS BE1806 motors but the ones I use seems to survive the abuse I give them.

My Nighthawk uses the DYS 2206 with BLheli ESCs, the torque and power is just unbelievable, I once had an exploding 5045 prop because the prop wasn't able to withstand the power of the motors! Good thing it happened during takeoff.
