Bosch Carbide Discs

Bosch Carbide Discs

Unread post #1 by timber715 » Fri Mar 01, 2013 2:35 pm

Tried grinding wood to shape it using flap discs and it ended burning it, happy to find out that Bosch came out with a new accessory for the grinder to do such.
Image
It can be used for a standard 4" angle grinder
Image
You can use it to cut wood
Image
But is great for shaping or fast carving wood without burning it
Image
A perfect accessory for chairmakers and woodcarvers needing to remove lots of stock to create the initial shape.

Are these suppose to be better than the Diamond Blades for concrete cutting too? If so what advantage will it have. Sharper and longer life probably?

This carbide blade looks really mean.

I think this is not designed for concrete cutting, this is really designed for wood.
Your cutting tools is only as good as your sharpening system.

take a look at the sticker label..we can see a circular saw there but it looks more like a stone cutter rather a wood cutter..

i wonder if there are any applications for this sort of saw blade..

@jay,

thats the new grinder of bosch locally available with paddle switch (check bosch phil website bro.)
I think i was a woodworker in my previous life...and the life previous to that.

So it's finally available locally. Looks like a good grinder. I myself prefer paddle switch for wire and cup brushes.

Grinder is locally available already, saw some at ACE I think, so it should be available elsewhere already.
