So I bought some plain end blades and when i was going to test them out, these were 6" blades pala. I didnt bother checking the length when I got them, I was focused on the TPI. Can I still use these? Or maybe I should cut one end off to make it shorter?

Hi there po lahat. newbie here and this is my first post. i'm also a scrollsaw enthusiast but unlike you mga gurus, low end lang po yung sa akin, its a 16" ryobi nabili ko sa isang surplus shop dito sa amin sa davao. previously i built a pedal scroll saw ala Rick hutchison design. (if anyone is interested i will try to post a pic of that pag may time). later on napagod na ko sa kakapedal, tiempo naman na may nakita akong ryobi na gud as new. pag tanong ko ng presyo, sabi 4k daw, sa isip ko good deal na ito, kaya sinunggaban ko na hehe... problema ko dito is iisa lang yung store na nagbebenta ng plain end blades minsan wala pang stock. gusto ko sana i-try angflying dutchman, kaso hindi ako marunong umorder sa amazon. baka meron po kayo jan sobrang stock pabili naman po. salamat po.

looking forward to sharing my projects past and future. di ko pa alam paano mag post ng pic dito.

I use to use those blades on the SJ401 without issues. I cant remember though if I adjusted the scrollsaw to accommodate those blades though.

I had to cut one end because it was too long and i was afraid it might do damage to the sj. It worked out fine after.

Made a couple of bag tags as gifts this Chrismas.

Feel free to post, or better yet, you can start your own thread.
