Kitchen Cabinet Doors

Kitchen Cabinet Doors

Unread post #1 by balarila » Tue Jan 02, 2018 8:16 am

As if I didn't have enough on my hands, here's another project: Kitchen Cabinet doors.

We're renovating the kitchen. Contractor did the carcass of the kitchen cabinets and was supposed to do the doors. But, after having them re-do parts of the carcass 4 times bcause hindi squalado and wala sa hulog, I decided to do the doors myself.

Got some ash (fast becoming my favorite wood), cut to about 3/4"x2" planks, and started routing.

Frames are all done!

Those are just test fit. No glue yet. Next, will work with the palaman.

Yup. Finally put to use my combo-bit from Freud.

Realized I did not have a raised panel bit so I ordered one from Lazada. Brand is Yonico and got it two days ago. Looks well made and packaging is professional so I hope it's a good buy. We'll see.

Finished the wood panel for the doors. (Sorry, forgot to take a pic).

But some dooers will have frosted glass panels so went to the local glass shop and had them cut. Mounted:

This is where the doors will go.

The great thing about having hired a contractor to do the home renovation is that I can now pass on all the boring sanding to the workers. So doors are now being sanded and will then be installed.
