I'm building a mount for the dust filter/bag

But venting out the window keeps presenting itself as an easy option.

I'll postpone the filter mount until the car owner below complains.

Very very nice, Joey. Naunahan mo pa 'ko. My impeller is still lying around, waiting for my workshop. Where did you get your motor&impeller?

How easy would it be to empty that drum?

I got the 2HP DC from Lito. Installing the plastic dust bag is a real pain. And I'm sure it will soon break after a few unload/installs.

The flex hose connecting the baffle assembly to the impeller allows me to lift the baffle from the drum. I'll add wires and hooks later that will hold it up while I remove the drum.

BTW, directly below the window where I vent out is SWMBO's car.

Yesterday I asked my son to observe the vent while I cut plywood on the table saw. He said there is no visible dust coming out. I'm safe from SWMBO's wrath. :lolno:

Wait till there's a slight drizzle and the dust sticks into her car!

Mine will be in a separate room in my workshop. I also plan to vent out mine through a port into a back garden. Instead of a drum, I plan to build a chamber at the bottom with a door to the outside of the workshop so I can shovel out the dust.

Time to empty the drum.

Hooks and wires hold the baffle up while I remove the drum

I guess 2/3 full is the maximum it can handle. Some dust is already being vented out the window. And my wife complained. :(

Down it goes.

The sawdust will be heaped over my compost pit. Compost is for my imaginary garden.
